The District 5360 Rotary Youth Exchange students all had a great week in Foothills County. This was their first week in Canada for the 2026 Rotary Youth Exchange students coming from Germany, France, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and the Netherlands.
The students camped in Silverland, just outside High River, visited Bar U Ranch, went kayaking and horseback riding, and attended their first-ever drive-in movie. They had an amazing Alberta experience on a Rotarian's ranch, and met some of their favourite television stars from My Life with the Walter Boys. The students also helped with the Canadian Flags fundraiser, installing flags across High River.
Despite knowing different languages and coming from very different parts of the world, they became fast friends who will meet several more times during their year living and going to school in Canada. But until then, each of the kids has now returned to their Alberta communities where their local Rotary Club is supporting them as they live and attend school in Alberta for this year."
